Yesterday was one of the best class sessions I have ever had and it had nothing to do with Faust.
It was a beautiful day outside so what did my professor do?
He took the class to university commons, bought us all coffee (which isn’t a big deal when there are only six kids in your class), and held class outside on the patio. The discussion was really more of workshop where he just invested in us students and our writing skills for an hour.
It was awesome. It was really cool to have a professor be interested in us as more then a body to fill a chair and a grade on a paper. It reminded me of how important relationships are and how easy it can be to invest in other people if we just take the time.
It’s funny, but I’m almost sad to be graduating because it really limits my ability to take more classes with him.
